Be The Bridge

We receive numerous inquiries each year from individuals, families and organizations that want to hold their own fundraising events in support of our mission to improve life for those living with cancer.   These events are held independently from CAWC’s Development Office and are run by interested volunteers.  Philanthropic contributions from these third-party events help us to meet the critical needs of cancer patients in our community.

You too can be a part of our mission of bridging the need by making the choice to Be the Bridge.

Host a third party benefit

These unique events can take many forms, be in memory of anyone, and raise both awareness and important funds for the mission to Bridge the Need. Some examples of third party benefits are:

Jewelry Party/ Cooking Shows/ Garage Sales/ Bicycling Challenges/ Golf Tournament/ Bake Sale/ Sporting Tournaments/ Designer Sale/ Art Class Parties/ Auctions/ Collecting Aluminum Cans/ Contests

Companies, organizations and individuals are welcome to hold a promotion, event, or sale to benefit the mission of Cancer Assistance. Due to the distant locations of many events, Cancer Assistance staff may not be able t personally attend all third party events, however, organization materials can be provided for use.

Please complete the third party agreement form and return it to the Cancer Assistance office. A staff member will contact you directly after reviewing the application and provide appropriate marketing materials for your event

Gift Donations

In lieu of birthday or holiday gifts for a family member or friend, make a donation to the “Be the Bridge” fund in that person’s honor. Individuals do not have to be a cancer survivor. Recognition will be given to all individuals with a mailed personal note expressing a donation has been made in his or her honor.

Looking for the perfect appreciation gift for your boss, employees, neighbor, or just want a unique hostess gift? Donor recognition can include a personalized message stating the reason why you appreciate them.

Individual or Corporate Donations

Challenge yourself and co-workers to sponsor clients for a specific period of time by making a monthly or yearly donation.

$100.00-Pays for one month of utilities
$400.00-Helps 10 clients with transportation to get to medical appointments
$1,000.00-Pays for an average out of pocket medical expense for six months

Memorials

Losing a loved one is hard. Honor and remember them by joining other families and friends who have chosen to keep their memory alive by making a donation in your loved one’s name. Donations can be made online, in person, or through a mailed donation. Please be sure to include the name of the individual to be honored/celebrated with your donation.
