William F. Heinze, 90, of Montpelier OH passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2022 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 24, 1931 to Joseph and Helen Heinze. William was a beloved husband and father of 6.
William was a proud veteran who served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army, and upon returning home he worked for Toledo Asphalt, Toledo Paving for 30 years, and Buck & Knobby for 10 years. He built a cottage after retirement but returned to work and continued until his late 70’s and rightfully earning him the title of ‘work-a-holic’. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed camping with his family, where he would relax and take walks in the woods.
William is survived by the love of his life, Patricia Heinze; as well as their children, Pamela Beckwith, Gregory (Sylvia) Heinze, Eric (Heather) Heinze, Cindra Heinze, and Timothy Heinze; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret Ann Sexton, Joseph, Eugene, and Daniel Heinze; son, William K. Heinze; and grandson, Scott William Heinze.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH 43623 (419-841-2422). Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to a cancer organization or charity of the donor’s choice.
